Musica Sacra International reagiert auf Corona-Pandemie

MSI Online Edition: Wenn das Publikum nicht zum Festival kommen kann, kommt das Festival zum Publikum

Seit fast 30 Jahren vereint Musica Sacra International an Pfingsten SängerInnen aller Länder und Weltreligionen zum gemeinsamen Musizieren in Marktoberdorf. Auch für das Jahr 2020 war ein abwechslungsreiches Festival mit neun Ensembles aus aller Welt und einem spannenden Rahmenprogramm geplant.

Die Umstände der weltweiten Corona-Pandemie machen die geplante Durchführung des Festivals in gewohnter Form für das Jahr 2020 jedoch unmöglich. So hat sich MODFestivals e.V. in Absprache mit den Behörden, dem Vorstand und der künstlerischen Leitung dazu entschlossen, das Festival erstmals nicht im Allgäu stattfinden zu lassen, sondern ein alternatives Konzept umzusetzen.

MSI Online Edition
Anstelle des Konzertbesuches setzt das Organisationsteam der MODFestivals rund um Geschäftsführerin Ramona Wegenast und Künstlerische Leitung Dr. Verena Grüter und Bettina Strübel auf das Internet:
In einer neuartigen Online-Ausgabe des Festivals soll den Zuhörern der Zugang zu den Inhalten von Musica Sacra International kostenlos im Internet zur Verfügung gestellt werden.

Auf Plattformen wie YouTube, Facebook sowie der Website www.musica-sacra-international.org können so am Pfingstwochenende Konzerte, Moderationen und die Inhalte der Atelierkonzerte von Zuhause aus verfolgt werden. So ist es den Besuchern des Festivals genauso wie interessierten Zuhörern aus aller Welt möglich, die Musik der Weltreligionen auf einzigartige Weise zu erleben, wo und wie oft sie möchten.

Musica Sacra International reacts to the corona pandemic

MSI online edition: If the public can’t come to the festival, the festival will come to the public

For almost 30 years, Musica Sacra International has brought together at Whitsun singers from all countries and world religions to make music together in Marktoberdorf. For the year 2020, once more, a festival full of variety was planned with nine ensembles from all over the world and an exciting programme.

The situation brought about by the global corona pandemic has made it impossible to hold the festival in its usual form. Therefore, the MODFestivals e.V. together with the relevant authorities, the committee and the artistic direction have made the decision, for the first time not to hold the festival in the Allgäu but to present an alternative concept.

MSI online edition
Instead of concerts for public visitors, the organising team of the MODFestivals, led by Business Manager Ramona Wegenast will be relying on the internet: in a completely new online edition of the festival the listeners will have free access to the content of Music Sacra International through the internet.

On platforms such as YouTube and Facebook as well as the website www.musica-sacra-international.org the concerts, announcements and contents of the workshops will be made accessible from home. In this way, festival visitors as well as interested listeners all across the world will be able to experience the music of the world religions in a unique way and as often as they wish.
