Information

Experience "Musica Sacra International" up close as a singer in the festival choir. For the third time, we are inviting all singing enthusiasts to actively accompany and help to shape the festival: Sharing the fun of singing with others and discovering new things in the process, combining leisure time and further education, listening to sacred music from several religions and performing it yourself - all this can be expected.

The festival choir is directed by Gary Graden (Sweden), with the award-winning Turkish choir "Rezonans" from Istanbul serving as the studio choir. The Swedish composer Agneta Sköld was commissioned to set a poem by the Bengali philosopher Rabindranath Tagore to music especially for the festival. This will be premiered at the festival's closing concert - alongside the setting of the Verse of Light by Volkan Akkoç, a spiritual and a choral improvisation with several ensembles.
